Board of Directors Workshop/Chat

Today, March 26th at 1:00 PM via Zoom

The Sun City Grand Board of Directors are planning to meet virtually today, March 26th, at 1:00 PM due to the CDC's recommended method of social distancing. The Association is going to accomplish this by holding this meeting via "Zoom." Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. We recognize that this is a new method of communication, and we are asking for your patience as we iron out all of the kinks. Please note, if you experience any difficulties accessing this workshop, rest assured that this meeting will be recorded and uploaded to shortly after.

For instructions on how to download Zoom and view today's workshop, please click here. Once you visit this link, please scroll to the bottom and select the electronic device that you are attempting to use to view the Board of Directors workshop. Then, you will see instructions on how to download Zoom for your specific device. Once all steps are accurately followed, enter in the nine-digit Meeting ID number found below. Please note, no purchase is necessary. This is a free service, so please do not sign-up for a paid service.

Please enter in this nine-digit Meeting ID number: 469-092-420 (Please use this code to login at 1:00 PM. Meeting will not start until scheduled.)

Tomorrow, March 27th, 2020, at 1:00 PM, the Association will be providing you a fun Livestream Indoor Scavenger Hunt on our Sun City Grand Facebook Page! From bobby pins to bottle cap openers, the random items around your house will be key to winning this game. Each time you have an item that is announced, you must post a picture of it on the Livestream event on our Sun City Grand Facebook Page. This is how we will keep track of points. The winner will be announced on Facebook. Join us as we partake in this social distancing activity together and have fun with your community!  Grand Reminder: Recycling

As a friendly Grand Reminder, please recycle your recyclable items. We still have recycling available, and Parks and Sons offer residential curbside recycling. This single-stream, commingled curbside service accepts these items: paper, cans, boxes, plastics, and glass. For more information on why recycling is important, please click here.

 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Update

The City of Surprise has partnered with Meals of Joy to deliver meals at no cost to seniors aged 62 and over, as well as individuals 55 and over with a disability. This temporary, federally funded program is designed to help vulnerable residents maintain social distancing due to medical vulnerabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information, please click here or visit

Speaking of food, for all of our snowbirds, if you are leaving early than expected, and have extra food that you are planning on getting rid of, the Valley View Community Food Bank and St. Mary's Food Bank are in need of extra food items. Even if you are not a snowbird and would like to donate, please click here for Valley View Community Food Bank information, and click here for St. Mary's Food Bank information.
