The health of our residents is a top priority at Sun City Grand. Sun City Grand recognizes the pandemic of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and is taking necessary measures to respond to the health safety risks. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we know that older adults and people who have serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease, are at a higher risk of getting very sick from this illness. For such reasons, the Sun City Grand Board of Directors and Community Association Management are implementing mitigation precautions to reduce the likelihood of our residents coming in contact with COVID-19.

As of today, March 12th, at the Board of Directors Meeting, the following motion was passed unanimously. “I move to close and secure the Sun City Grand campus for the period starting Friday, March 13th, 2020, at 10:00 PM through Friday, May 1st, 2020, at 8:00 AM. The closure includes all CAM Buildings; Cancels all CAM and SCG Meetings and Events; Cancels all Chartered Club Activities, except Golf, Meetings, and Events; and Cancels all Special Interest Group Activities, Meetings, and Events. Open-air facilities such as Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, Bocce, Lawn bowling, Horseshoes, etc. will remain unlocked and may be utilized by those community members who choose to do so.” To review the Board Meeting held today, March 12th, please click here to view the recorded video.
