FAQs About EXOS ESD

What is ESD?
ESD stands for Energy Systems Development. It is a personalized and intelligent training system that helps to upgrade your metabolic performance by working through a series of targeted training intervals. Much more efficient and effective than traditional cardio training.

How do I get started?
It’s easy – once you’ve registered with the fitness staff, all you need is your phone number, and a 4-digit PIN to sign in. Your first session will be a quick and intuitive evaluation. Choose any device (bike, treadmill, or elliptical) and follow the simple instructions on screen to get started. The evaluation is quick and easy to complete – it will push you past your comfort zone, but don’t worry, it’s not a maximal test.

What’s so special about the training experience?
Once you’ve completed the evaluation the system will create a personalized and progressive training plan just for you! Each time you login, it will progress you along your plan. In each workout your speed and resistance targets for each interval will be provided, and it will automatically guide you through each one. No need to fiddle with the controls – just focus on putting in the effort.

Everyone is welcome to utilize this new addition to our fitness centers. Demonstrations are scheduled, and will be advertised through Eblast and flyers. These provide more information, and an opportunity to register and sign up for supervised or self-evaluations.
